Ballots for the NEC elections will start going out from Monday 19 October but can take a few days to arrive.
Points to note:
For the CLP section, you can vote for up to 9 candidates. As you’ll hopefully be aware, this section (and this section only) will be decided on the basis of Single Transferable Vote (STV), whereas it has been based on the more straightforward ‘first past the post’ system in the past.
The Grassroots Voice slate, as agreed by the combined efforts of all of the organisations (including WLG and Momentum) in the Centre-Left Grassroots Alliance (CLGA), has 6 candidates. However, while all members are encouraged to vote for all 6, due to STV, the order of preferences depends on where you live.
In Wales, we therefore ask you to vote for the following candidates in the following order:
It is very important that you follow that order – this is to attempt to ensure that all candidates receive sufficient first preferences to progress through the STV stages.
For the other positions, all members in Wales can vote for Treasurer and for the ‘Wales’ seat: please vote for Diana Holland and Mick Antoniw.
Follow Mick on Twitter here and on Facebook here.
If you’re under 27, please vote for Lara McNeill for the Youth seat.
If you’re a disabled member, please vote for Ellen Morrison for the Disabled Members’ seat.
If you’re a Councillor, please vote for Jo Bird and Matt White for the two Councillors’ seats.
